Marketers frustrated by lack of career opportunity

Marketers expectations at work versus reality

More than two-fifths of marketers (42%) believe their employer is not providing enough opportunities for career advancement, according to the latest Marketing Week Career and Salary Survey.

In addition, 45% feel let down by a lack of in-work training. This may help to explain why 82% of marketers plan to leave their job in the next three years, up one percentage point on last year’s survey, while 39% aim to move on in the next 12 months.
